Entertainment / Perez peacoat to be auctioned to raise funds for school
A PEACOAT used by Jimmy Perez actor Douglas Henshall in the Shetland crime drama series is due to go up for auction later this month.
The dark coat, which was a key part of Perez’s look, will have a starting bid of £300. See: https://www.32auctions.com/Garnetbankauction22
Bids will open at 6pm on 10 November.
It is one of many items being auctioned off by Garnetbank Primary School in Glasgow.
Its parent council is raising funds to purchase essential support items and basic supplies, as well as arts, music and drama materials and activities.
The Perez listing in the online auction says the double-breasted wool coat is “well worn”. The coat is also signed by the actor.
Henshall has now hung up his Perez boots following the culmination of Shetland’s seventh series.
An eighth series, however, is due to start filming next year.
