Bennifer is back, baby! But maybe for one night only?! ICYMI: Divorce rumors are running rampant around Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, and the fact that they hadn’t been photographed together since March 30, certainly hasn’t helped things. But, after 47 days, the couple was finally seen together publicly.
And it was for the best reason. If the speculation is true and a split is on the horizon, we love to see that what brought them back together was their kids.
Affleck and Lopez — who may already be sleeping in different homes — went with Lopez’s 16-year-old daughter Emme to see Affleck’s 15-year-old daughter Seraphina’s high school. And if their number one priority amid all this alleged turmoil is the happiness of their kiddos, we applaud them.

“Nothing would have stopped them coming together for the kids,” an insider told In Touch Weekly. “All the marriage drama comes second. They are putting on a united front. Jen showed up with Emme to support Seraphina.”
In the paparazzi photos, Affleck is driving a black SUV. Ever the gentlemen, the DunKing reached across the vehicle to open the door for J. Lo. (See the photos HERE.)
“Jen looked super thin and was dressed casual-chic,” an eyewitness told In Touch. “… She seemed more subdued than usual when she greeted Ben as he pulled the car up. Emme was super excited, though, jumping for joy over Seraphina’s performance.”

The couple has seemingly always been good at co-parenting, with Affleck sharing kids Seraphina, Violet, and Sam with ex-wife Jennifer Garner and Lopez sharing twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony. So it’s possible they could easily navigate a world in which they are divorced but still show up for each other’s kids. Especially given that their t(w)eens are so close in age and must have gotten so close over the years.
And if you’re wondering why the anonymous witness brought up the singer’s clothes, it’s not just because she’s a style icon. It’s because she attended the same performance last year and got majorly glammed up. As if it was a red carpet premiere, she wore a flowing and ruffled red dress with a high slit and platform heels. So her frayed, wide-legged jeans were quite a different vibe. Whether she went that route because she isn’t dressing up for her hubby or because she better understood the assignment is hard to say. All we can say is bravo to the couple for coming together like this, no matter what the circumstances may be.
