ABSTRACT

In this article we intend to investigate the influence of Henrique Cláudio de Lima Vaz on the intellectual route of João Batista Libanio. For this, we took as a starting point the text “Lições do Mestre”, written by Libanio. We will also examine the article “Cristianismo e pensamento utópico” and the review of the book Teologia da Libertação: roteiro didático para um estudo, both written by Lima Vaz. The aim is to investigate how Lima Vaz’s influence marked Libano’s own way of doing theology.
