ABSTRACT
The concept of “people”, despite being central in Christianity, especially in the First Alliance and in the ecclesiology of the Second Vatican Council, has not been assumed by post-council theology; it has even been rejected with a veil. This article does not seek to show the virtualities of political ideas, but rather than the transcendental concept of “people”. For this, the use that Pope Francis makes in his social doctrine of the concept “people” is analyzed, pointing out the keys in which he develops it and from where it can be assumed in theology.
