Absolutely! The opportunity to offer mindfulness to kids goes beyond the classroom and into all areas of life where adults guide and support children. Many schools also welcome external specialists (mindfulness workshop facilitators) into class. This training is perfect for educators, therapists, parents, caregivers, health care professionals, workshop facilitators, or any other professional working with young ones.

The training course is delivered in a series of 8 modules with each module containing 4 teaching sessions. You will get a video from Chris and a video from sally in each session so they both deliver 32 teaching videos during the whole training. Also in each session you get the practical activity for kids plus an activity for your own mindfulness practice development. Additionally within each module there are extra resources and reading materials to supplement the video teaching.

There are 2 assessment elements:

1. A few multiple-choice questions to answer as part of the online learning platform at the end of certain modules or sessions. We would like to ensure that its an enjoyable experience so if you don’t know the right answers, you can try again as many times as you need.

2. At the end of a couple of modules or sessions, you will find an assignment in which you will be asked to reflect on and write about your experiences with the activities - for example, how was it to run the activity? What were the main challenges? What did you learn? You will then submit the assignment for us to quickly review it. Research shows that writing about your experiences deepens the learning experience, so we encourage you to create a regular space and time for your reflective entries as you progress through the course.

This program is suitable for the age range 5-18. During the program Sally refers to three age range groupings as 'littles", "middles", and "bigs". These would approximate to 5-8 (littles), 9-13 (middles), and 14-18 (bigs) with activity modifications suggested accordingly.

Whilst we provide you with a full program of 32 activities and suggestions for each age group you are free to choose how you deliver this content. For example you could deliver it all sequentially or choose individual items that meet your needs. You might even pick some elements out and create a workshop or short event - the materials are structured so that you can use them all together or on their own - you have complete flexibility.
