For their part, prominent Democrats unaffiliated with the Biden campaign have signaled that they recognize the potentially disastrous down ballot impact of Biden remaining in the race.
Democrats at every level of the ballot, in competitive races all over the country, should be worried if Joe Biden does not drop out before their convention in August.
Democrats are rightly reeling after President Joe Biden’s first debate performance, which reinforced – and indeed magnified – existing concerns about his age and mental fitness.
Whichever candidate does a better job of addressing the concerns voters have and outlines a compelling vision for the country will seize the momentum heading into summer.
Unfortunately, this will not help Israelis nor Palestinians, and in all likelihood, will be remembered as one of the most ill-conceived political and strategic decisions of Biden’s presidency.
