UPDATED:

Music and the arts can be found together at the tranquil Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve for the next month.

The reserve’s annual summer art and concert series is back.

Every Saturday until Saturday, Aug. 3, there will be an art show and outdoor concert. Art shows, which are part of the 24th annual Santa Rosa Plateau Art Exhibition, start at 5 p.m.; performances begin at 6:30 p.m.

The events started Saturday, July 6, and are on the stage behind the Visitor’s Center at the reserve near Murrieta.

“Magic occurs at these concert nights that cannot be explained unless you’ve been there,” Ginger Greaves, executive director of The Nature Education Foundation, which runs programs at the reserve, said in a news release. “It’s a truly fun, entertaining and beautiful evening.”

This year, 35 artists will show work during the concerts. A concert ticket, purchased in advance, is required to see the art show. Wine and food are available for purchase.

A VIP ticket is available. Those with regular admission should bring their own chairs. Off-site parking is offered with free shuttle service.

The schedule is:

  • Saturday July 13: Yacht Rocker, a Temecula group playing music by ’70s and ’80s bands.
  • Saturday, July 20: 2nd Hand Jazz Band, a nine-piece local jazz band.
  • Saturday, July 27: The Garth Guy, a Garth Brooks tribute performed by Dean Simmons.
  • Saturday, Aug 3: 4 Lads from Liverpool, a Riverside band that performs a tribute to The Beatles.

The reserve is at 39400 Clinton Keith Road.

Tickets will not be sold at the reserve and must be bought online in advance.
