Ontario Christian junior outside hitter Micah Mackenzie has been selected the CIF Southern Section Division 7 boys volleyball co-player of the year.
Mackenzie shared player of the year honors with Avalon junior outside hitter Jacob Mello. Mackenzie helped the Knights win the Division 7 championship, the first section title in the program’s history. He registered a match-high 14 kills as Ontario Christian swept Avalon in the Division 7 championship match.
Ontario Christian’s David Slager and Avalon’s Carlos Martinez were chosen the co-coaches of the year in Division 7.
Ten other Inland players were chosen to the all-CIF first team in their team’s respective divisions.
