Name: Jordan Carter

Year: Senior

Noteworthy: Carter flew 47 feet, 2 1/4 inches on his final attempt to finish as the runner-up in the boys triple jump at the CIF State Track and Field Championships at Buchanan High School in Clovis. His second-place finish was the program’s best at the state meet since Jaden Ellis brought home the 110-meter hurdles title in 2018. Carter finished the season strong. He claimed the CIF Southern Section Division 2 title and finished second at the Masters Meet. During Friday’s state meet qualifying session, he posted a wind-legal jump of 48-6 3/4, the top mark in the state this season.
