SAN DIEGOSAN DIEGO — Homicide detectives were sent to investigate the death of a woman who was found in a ravine along a road north of Escondido Thursday, a sheriff’s official said.
Her body was found about 2 p.m. off Champagne Boulevard near Welk Resorts San Diego, homicide Lt. Dan Brislin said. The road runs along the canyon, which is east of Interstate 15.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine how the woman died.
Investigators did not release other information.
