The Galaxy M04, one of the most affordable phones from Samsung that's eligible for One UI 6.1, just got the eagerly anticipated update. One UI 6.1 is rolling out to the Galaxy M04 in India. The few other countries where the phone is sold should also get the update in the near future.

One UI 6.1 for Galaxy M04 available in India

One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy M04 is a considerably smaller download than One UI 6.1 for other devices, as befits its budget status. The update is around 1,400 MB in size, and you can identify it by the build number M045FXXU7EXE4.

You can download the update on your phone by opening its Settings app, navigating to Software update, and selecting Download and install.

As noted in the changelog, One UI 6.1 update “brings you more ways to personalize your everyday experiences, connect with others, and be more productive, all while keeping your data safe and secure.” You can find the full One UI 6.1 changelog here. Note that some of the features and changes may not be available on your Galaxy M04.

One UI 6.1 is likely to be the last feature update for the Galaxy M04. Android 14, meanwhile, is its final major OS upgrade. Some One UI 6.1.1 improvements could make their way to the phone, but that's not guaranteed.
