Samsung is attempting to do things differently with its next flagship tablet lineup by skipping the smallest model, according to an exclusive report from the Korean media. The Galaxy Tab S10 series will reportedly come in only Plus and Ultra variants.Summarize in one-click with Galaxy AI

To be more precise, Samsung could launch its next flagship tablet in two sizes: 12.4 inches and 14.9 inches. This is said to be a response to Apple launching the first iPad Pro with an OLED display recently.

Since Samsung has lost the advantage of having the superior display technology, it is apparently looking to differentiate the Galaxy Tab S lineup by offering larger AMOLED displays to consumers as alternatives to the iPad Pro, the 2024 version of which comes in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes.

Of course, many would prefer price to be the differentiating factor, but Samsung has made it clear in recent times that it is no longer focused on winning over customers based solely on more competitively pricing its devices compared to Apple.

That said, Samsung doesn't seem to be ignoring cost-cutting completely, as supported by the fact that the Galaxy Tab S10+ showed up online running a MediaTek chipset.

Samsung's flagship tablets have exclusively used Snapdragon chips in recent years, but similar to the Galaxy S24 series, it's possible only the Ultra model in the Galaxy Tab S10 series will be powered by a Snapdragon chip worldwide.

The Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra are expected to launch sometime later this year, though they won't be unveiled at Samsung's July 10 Unpacked event. Renders of the Ultra model have already given us a glimpse at its design, and we can expect more information on the new tablets in the coming weeks as development on them continues.
