Bixby-Twitter Spaces integration goes live with limited reach

Bixby is getting cleverer in its interactions with the Twitter platform. Starting today, company Galaxy smartphone owners can use Bixby Voice to navigate through Twitter Spaces. The catch, however, is that this new feature is available only in Brazil.

If you're wondering, Twitter Spaces offers a new way to carry out audio conversations on Twitter. Spaces is in its early days and is touted to be updated with new features as more user feedback is gathered.

This new integration with Bixby allows Galaxy smartphone owners to explore Twitter Spaces using voice commands. Furthermore, thanks to this collaboration, the Twitter app isn't required to search through Twitter Spaces using Bixby.

The integration uses the Spaces API. The latter allows developers like Samsung to create tools and services for their customers to make the most of Twitter Spaces.

Samsung adds that this integration also reflects the company's efforts to make the platform more inclusive and accessible for the community of people with disabilities.

Hopefully, Samsung will consider integrating Bixby with Twitter Spaces in more markets following this exclusive launch in Brazil. And perhaps it will open up the Side Key to other virtual assistants like Google Assistant. No official word on these matters yet, but stay tuned.
