Serve with Samaritan's Purse as an Operation Christmas Child seasonal employee and you will work with volunteers to help bring Jesus' love to children around the world. You will help facilitate the processing and preparing of millions of shoeboxes for distribution to children in need. You will be acting as ambassadors of Jesus Christ to bring joy to children, families, and communities.

The third week of every November, we collect shoeboxes packed with toys, school supplies, and personal care items by individuals and groups across the nation. From approximately mid-November to mid-December, we prepare these shoebox gifts for international shipment to church partners, who distribute these gifts to children during Gospel-focused community events.

Crucial to this exciting process are personnel who serve in the following positions:

  • Processing Center Management Team

    • Train, oversee, and coach a team that is wonderfully diverse but unified in their love for the Gospel.
    • Manage the operations vital to the processing of over 10 million shoebox gifts.
    • Assist in the setup and tear down of the processing center.

  • Seasonal HR Recruitment Roles

    • Build a ministry-aligned team to serve in the Operation Christmas Child processing center.
    • Recruit, interview, and hire individuals for specific processing center roles.
    • Ensure an excellent employee experience for all associate staff during Operation Christmas Child processing season.

  • Customer Service

    • Team coaches
    • Greeters/Registration staff
    • Drop-off coordinators

  • Warehouse Roles

    • Gift-in-kind coordinators
    • Quality assurance associates
    • Dock workers (or heavy lifters)

  • Technical Warehouse Operations Roles

    • Scanner technicians
    • Forklift drivers
    • Switch truck drivers
