Our partners contribution is essential in achieving our goal to promote sustainable tourism in the Sagarmatha National Park and the Khumbu region

Sagarmatha Next partners with like-minded organizations from Nepal and across the world. Their ideas, expertise, and in-kind support are helping us to promote sustainable tourism in the Khumbu region.
As the Technology Partner for Sagarmatha Next, Dell supplies and serves the center with all technical display and computer equipment, including film projector, digital touch screens, virtual reality equipment, laptops. In addition, Dell is also supporting the carry me back program.
In 2019 Denali Foundation partnered with Sagarmatha Next to support the Denali Schmidt Gallery and develop an artist-in-residence program. The residency program will allow selected artists to work with transforming waste into artwork and to work with local school children on artistic projects.

From Fall 2023, Kiehl’s has partnered with Sagarmatha Next to sponsor the Carry Me
Back initiative to support the removal of waste and bring it out for proper recycling, as
well as encouraging refillables to reduce single-use plastics.

Bally Peak Outlook Foundation is on a mission to safeguard the world’s fragile mountain habitats from the adverse effects of excessive tourism and global climate change. Since 2023, the Foundation has partnered with Sagarmatha Next to empower local communities to implement sustainable change through various initiatives including the Carry Me Back program.

SPCC has partnered with Sagarmatha Next to find better solutions for waste management in the region. Along with BW2V, they have conducted a field-research to assess the situation, and propose alternatives to manage the waste on site as well as transport it to Kathmandu in an affordable manner. Sagarmatha Next provides technical and financial support to SPCC to improve the waste management system in the Khumbu region.

BW2V provides strategic advice on waste management practices in the Khumbu Region. The company has developed a waste management master plan to be implemented in the region and is also responsible to manage and recycle the waste that is brought to Kathmandu through Carry Me Back.
moware design designed and produced the first 500 carry me back bags used for the pilot phase. Besides, Moware has created a dedicated line of products for Sagarmatha Next, made by the artists and locals of the region. The products are sold online as well as in our shop in the center located in Syangboche.
