Dual degree: AI and Digital Society

Do you see the deep impact that Artificial Intelligence has on our society? Are you interested in studying this in the context of the digital society and to spend a year abroad? Then “The AI & Digital Society” dual degree might be something for you.

  • It gives the opportunity to explore a wide range of courses. You will have the opportunity to dive into the technical aspects of AI, gain a solid basis and understanding of the AI methodology, and also learn about the societal impact of AI and to understand ethical considerations with respect to AI. In your year in Glasgow you will develop an understanding of societal debates surrounding digitalisation, informed by sociological theory and methodology.
  • The interdisciplinary nature of this dual degree gives you a solid foundation to tackle important questions for the future. This gives you a strong profile by further developing the needed analytical capacities and needed abilities to do research related to digitisation and socio-technical contexts.
  • A dual degree serves as an excellent stepping stone for your future career. You will not only have international experience but also gain a skillset which is useful for a wide variety of jobs. Specifically, you will develop a strong profile for all kinds of advisory roles in public or private stakeholders at the interface between technology and society. About this study curriculum

This dual degree combines the content and learning goals of our Artificial Intelligence: Societal Impact Master’s programme and those of the Digital Society Master’s programme at the University of Glasgow. You will obtain two degrees in two years. If you take part in this experience, you will spend the first year in Nijmegen and the second year in Glasgow.
