The copycat supe heros as bad guys is a novelty. Although Marvel and DC comics have alluded to this as Superman and Batman even Spiderman lost "it" in their journeys. Some "genius" at Amazon thought it would be a good idea to make it into a prolonged, dragged out TV series. Spoiler alert. The idea is unsustainable without the help of gore and ugly sex.

Definitely it's own spin on the genre, can't imagine this getting air time on any tv network if it came out 20 years ago! It's gory, bloody and thick with character edge. Nothing like it on screen, pushes away all that typical bs and cuts right to the point.

Cool concept, but Huey is an annoying idiot who just complains and stands around in confusion. The romance is also cringe. They get together and break up for really dumb reasons, and it feels like they wrote it that way just to expand the plot. The Deep's story is absolutely stupid and I could care less.
