himani Autostraddle For so many reasons, I sincerely hope Sort Of gets renewed for another season, but one of my main interests is to see more of how the show will grapple with gender dynamics within Sabi's family. Jan 12, 2022 Full Review E. Alex Jung New York Magazine/Vulture Sort Of is gentle with its characters even as the stakes are existential. Everyone feels fully inhabited, and as Sabi's carefully compartmentalized worlds begin to collide, a fizzy alchemy occurs. Dec 1, 2021 Full Review Stephanie Zacharek TIME Magazine Baig, an affable performer as well as a keen observer of human behavior, is one of the most intriguing new voices I've encountered on TV this year. Dec 1, 2021 Full Review Stephanie Morgan Common Sense Media Sabi's character, both guarded and deeply likable, offers a fresh perspective on resilience and the dynamics of support within their community. Feb 22, 2024 Full Review Jason Flatt But Why Tho? A Geek Community Sort Of is excellent for its comedy and drama and revolutionary for its total causality with regards to its gender, sexuality, and racial representation. Absolutely enjoy it for what it both represents and for what it is all on its own. Rated: 8.5/10 Jan 23, 2023 Full Review Bill Brioux Brioux.tv Unlike many of the characters, this show isn’t finding itself; it’s there. Nothing feels forced or preachy either. Like on many other shows, these are diverse characters just trying to figure out who they are. Aug 30, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

With Joyland and now this, I'm really happy to see Pakistani characters being given the space to occupy and explore non traditional roles. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/27/23 Full Review S H Authentic non-binary representation with lots of heart. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/03/23 Full Review Blanca D This is an amazing show particularly for someone who experiences nonbinary through the eyes of a culture foreign to your own. As a straight Hispanic U.S. Army Veteran, I found this show heartwarming, funny, and courageously endearing. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/02/23 Full Review diane h Really funny and intelligent.
