Some of the worlds we visit are pulled right from the pages of Tekhnika Molodezhi... But this world building does produce long ponderous scenes, and pace can be an issue at times in the screenplay from show runners David S. Goyer and Josh Friedman.

I'm only on episode 1, but I'm absolutely blown away. The story is riveting, the scenery is visually stunning, the in-universe technology imaginative, the pacing is excellent, and so is the acting. I loved every aspect of this. This show should not be binged, it should be savored.

The audience rating is about right. This ambitious sci-fi show started out gang busters and the VFX and CGI is amazing. They literally created new worlds and cities however the 2nd half of the season flattened out.

Interesting at times, but suffers a bit from obvious tropes and character changes from books and who is/it's good or evil and strong or weak that plagues modern media. I think I'd be more interested in the books than this problematic show.

Enjoyable watch, even if it doesn't seem to capture the feel of the feel of Asimov's Foundation series. Characters are generally compelling, even if a few seem overly contrived for plot points. I'd call it a decent bit of Sci-Fi.
