Joel H Time Walker is laughably bad. And it was too late before I realized that I could have been laughing even more because this movie is featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000 (under the title "Being from Another Planet"). The problem with Time Walker isn't the premise. It's actually kind of interesting and different from many other mummy movies. Also, the creature actually looks good. The big issue here is the writing and the acting. The dialogue is clunky & unnatural, and the performances from the cast are all over the place. Time Walker is amusingly awful, but it would have been better with MST3K. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Is this movie bad?? YES! It is cheezy?? YES!! Films like this need to be celebrated no matter how far fletched the plot is. An Alien mummy's tomb us found in a chamber next to King Tut's. A Professor and his expedition take it back to California. After x-raying the Sarcophagus and the mummy, one of the Professor's students notices an image on the X-ray. He goes into the sarcophagus and finds 5 crystals in a hidden compartment. After a trip to pawn shop to find out they are worthless he proceeds to give them away to girls he likes and his buddies. One ending up getting one indirectly is the Professor's girl!! So The Mummy comes to life and seeks out the crystals. A great popcorn flick! Just watched this one on 6/25/2021 thanks to Svengoolie airing it on ME-TV. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member There was no scare but some of the chases were quite fun, despite being completely bunkers. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member When will people learn to stop stealing from weird mummies? It never ends well for anyone. Rental? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Time Walker (AKA Being From Another Planet) is one of those movies that can be halfway enjoyable if you allow it to be, but it's simply just not a great movie at all. It has a lot of problems, mainly the way it was shot. The mummy, or the alien if you will, can barely be seen in close-ups, and they show it in A LOT of close-ups, so you're never quite sure what you're looking at. The cast itself is lackluster, including a very depressed-looking Ben Murphy, and Nina Axelrod is barely recognizable, let alone memorable. So the movie has its shortcomings, but I wouldn't recommend it outright anyway. I'd instead recommend the Mystery Science Theater 3000 take on the movie for sure, as it's much more entertaining by comparison. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member A mummified alien searches for crystals stolen from its ancient Egyptian tomb by a student following a clumsy opening by a Science Institute class. Professors dating students apparently not frowned upon at this institution of higher learning. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
