Nell Minow AWFJ.org Meryl Streep gives a truly magnificent performance as Katherine Graham... Nov 4, 2021 Full Review J. R. Jones Chicago Reader [Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks'] best scenes together reveal how each journalist was compromised by cozy relationships with powerful Democrats (in his case, President Kennedy; in hers, defense secretary Robert McNamara). Mar 10, 2020 Full Review Robert Daniels 812filmreviews It wouldn't be Spielberg without romanticism to the highest degree, and he'd probably plead guilty. Rated: 3.5/4 Aug 27, 2018 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies For a good three-quarters of his movie Spielberg brilliantly balanced two very different but equally enthralling stories. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 24, 2022 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review To call this film of the moment would be a gross understatement. But more importantly, it's another deftly entertaining Spielberg film. Rated: 4/4 Mar 16, 2022 Full Review Betsy Bozdech AWFJ.org It's [a movie] we need now, when it feels increasingly like both women and journalism are targets of the powers that be. Bravo to Streep, Hanks, Spielberg, and everyone involved in this film for standing up and saying that's unacceptable Nov 4, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Katie D better than I expected! Great acting by all, including some surprising faces I didn't realize were in the movie until I saw them! I actually noticed the wonderful cinematography and score, which was pretty cool! The costumes, props and scenery were perfect to set the scene for the time period and I loved seeing (and learning about!) the historical references! Interesting, entertaining and I enjoyed it more than I expected to! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/15/21 Full Review Alec C This story makes Watergate seem like an afterthought! As classified documents concerning the Vietnam War become common knowledge, the Washington Post races against the clock to expose a cover-up that spans decades of scandal. A riveting retelling of the Pentagon Papers with the illustrious Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks in the lead, this story reveals some of the secrets out government keeps from its own citizens! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/05/24 Full Review Geo3 F This movie is driven by the stellar acting performance from the usuals such as Hanks and Streep. This is clearly aiming for Oscar lore thru is costumes, auditing and visual that director Steven Spielberg uses to further emphasize the importance of the film to the viewers. The film lives up to its nomination of best picture. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/17/23 Full Review R B Good film. A Throwback to the independent free press of the 1970's. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/22/23 Full Review Colleen F I couldn't quit watching! If we had only known sooner Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Roger L The story is of cause ok since it is a true one. However it is not presented in a good and interesting way. Not even Tom Hanks could help the film to a good grade. I did not expect much from Meryl Streeps since she always are overrated. No other of the actors impressed on me so I give the film a low grade.
