Victor Bukowski (Douglas Henshall) cheats on girlfriend Sylvia Weld (Lena Headey), who rebounds and gets engaged to Dave Summers (Mark Strong). Wishing he could undo his error, Victor happens upon two otherworldly trash collectors, who send him back in time. He uses the opportunity to woo Sylvia again, while making sure that an attractive woman catches Dave's eye. But his attraction to a waitress, Louise (Penélope Cruz), could ruin Victor's plan to right things with Sylvia.

This is one of those movies I love to watch again and again! Especially after a heart wrenching break up. It's of the same school of thought as Sliding Doors only better! It makes you really think and resets your perspective, great movie, great cast, great story line.

On mistakes people are prone to make in romantic relations when you want to love and you think you're in love, but you aren't. The film is a lyrical fantasy about a guy who happens to cheat on his girlfriend. She runs away with another, still, he insists that they are meant for each other. The only thing that eventually helps him find out he's wrong is when miraculously he lives through the same situation in his girlfriend's shoes. Nice, but childish.
