J. Hoberman The New York Review of Books A madcap addition to the comic-book-derived movies that have dominated cinematic summer fare. Mar 28, 2017 Full Review David Sims The Atlantic That rare experience you don't get to have much in the summer anymore, a loud, clanging, original action flick that's grabbing you by the lapels and yelling in your ears. Sep 22, 2016 Full Review Jim Slotek Toronto Sun It's a wicked, violent parable, and one of the only movies of the summer worth talking about after the credits roll. Rated: 4.5/5 Jan 2, 2015 Full Review Brendan Cassidy InSession Film Snowpiercer is one of the most unique post-apocalyptic film’s I’ve ever seen, and my pick for the best science fiction film from 2014. Jun 17, 2024 Full Review Sean Axmaker Stream on Demand ... a high-speed metaphor speeding down the science fiction tracks of genre cinema. Sep 8, 2023 Full Review Manuel São Bento MSB Reviews Snowpiercer is one of the best films of the respective decade. With a brilliant screenplay, Bong Joon-ho delivers an extremely complex narrative, filled with emotionally shocking character development, and featuring excellent stunt work. MØHAB M The film is mid but what i really liked is Chris's performance Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/09/24 Full Review Golf F Any movie, I don't care if it won 60 Oscar's, if I can only see 20% of the visual, I can't bare to watch. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/03/24 Full Review Manuel P I hope everyone realizes the marxist criticisms of classist capitalism in Bong Joon films, especially in this one. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/28/24 Full Review Kal S Hop aboard the cinematic train to Obvious Allegory Land, first stop Gore-ville. The makers of this film want you to think about life and death and society and power—but don't worry, you don't have to think very hard. Mostly you just have to endure a couple of hours of bloody violence. It's an uncomplicated linear journey, much like riding a train from point A to point B. Sure, there are some twists and turns along the way (many entirely implausible), but not enough to make this dark and depressing vision of humanity worth the effort. (31/7/2017) Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/23/24 Full Review First name L Far from perfect, it is definately a ride. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/15/24 Full Review Silas R It doesn't make any sense. So many plot holes that it was impossible to enjoy. Thoroughly dumb. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/24 Full Review Read all reviews
