Steven Oxman Variety This ABC version captures many of its stronger qualities before giving way to fabricated action scenes at the end. Oct 19, 2018 Full Review John Leonard New York Magazine/Vulture ... it bursts into unlikely song at the drop of a heavy cue, and the end is so rushed that it's empty of feeling and affect. Audience Member Much better than the 50's version. Score is still fabulous. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Harry Connick Jr! What can I say more? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a horrible remake. I mean even by TV-Movie standards, it is putrid. War really is hell if this film is representative of it in any way. Good God, I'd rather swab the entire deck of an aircraft carrier with a toothbrush than subject myself to another viewing of this dross. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Ok Made for TV version --not as satisfying as recent Broadway revivals or the original. Connick seems miscast. Big fan of Glenn Close but she does not seem right somehow in this flick. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member First one was better Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Not as good as the stage actor did it on PBS. But I liked Harry Connick Jr. well even tho his chairter dies. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews
