Reach Me

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Featuring a bewildering array of talented actors pummeled by disjointed direction and a dull, hackneyed script, Reach Me is so fundamentally misbegotten that its title reads more like a threat.

Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times At times "Reach Me" is undeniably intriguing, mostly because it's just so weird and disconnected. Eventually, though, it just becomes tiresome. Rated: 2/4 Nov 24, 2014 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter Nothing in the proceedings is remotely convincing, let alone entertaining. Nov 24, 2014 Full Review Glenn Kenny RogerEbert.com Once you've sunk into the entirely warped groove of "Reach Me" you're almost eager to experience the next offense against aesthetics and/or common sense it is poised to commit. Rated: 1/4 Nov 21, 2014 Full Review Niall Browne Movies in Focus Sadly, Collection doesn't even succeed on a visual level and it feels as if Herzfeld and the producers went for bargain basement tech credits in order to bring the film to the screen. Rated: 1/5 Jan 4, 2021 Full Review Mark Jackson Epoch Times It's 'Pulp Fiction' lite with blaxploitation aspects. Regardless, a movie about beating addictions, getting more out of life, and being a better person, is a good thing. Rated: 3/5 Jun 13, 2016 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue The jokes aren't funny and the earnest stabs at emotional sincerity ring false in this ensemble melodrama. Sean M One of the worst movies ever made. The writing and story is so cringe. The characters are as well. Dialogue is awful and pacing sucks. Pointless film. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/14/23 Full Review Audience Member I so enjoyed this movie that I was amazed to come here and see the negative reviews. I thought it was very well made, and if I had any criticism it might be that it was too short. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Lots of story's ...one better then the other ! Not that bad . SOMDVD Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review farah r With a cast ensemble like this one, Reach Me should have been a blockbuster hit if not movie of the year. Unfortunately though, it suffers from terrible writing in its disconnected stories and the acting was quite bland for some big Hollywood names. This drama is not worth the time nor effort to sit and watch. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review iain m David O'Hara is good in this, otherwise its a censored Pulp Fiction meeting Magnolia on a rainy day. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Assured, smart, multi-character comedy. Manages to stay consistently intriguing and connected. Great use of music. Meaning of it all may not be immediately obvious, but the comedy is clever and the cast, cameos included, are wonderful. In a word, enjoyable.
