Solid performances by the leads, but the generic ending needs help.

Test T I watched this on DVD. I liked it because it felt fresh and different, as I can't recall seeing anything like it before. It's a mild thriller based around the rivalry between two air traffic controllers. It starts out steady, and builds tension gradually as the relationship between the two controllers and their families develops. As I watched, I struggled to pick a side to support, and found myself switching allegiances, not really knowing who was the good guy. They are both complex characters which I found difficult to compare and judge. Over all, I found the film very interesting, and I became fully absorbed by the story. I thought the acting was first rate, especially by the two lead characters. I found the film very entertaining and have no problems recommending it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/13/24 Full Review Steve D It is all really dull. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/23/23 Full Review Bruce B This is a great movie, Quite surprised by the low Tomato rating. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/17/23 Full Review Savannah G the only reason I finished this movie was because of Cate otherwise I would not have cared when this movie finished. Cate is everything, Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/30/22 Full Review I E I've wanted to see this film for 23 years, I finally got around to it today and it was utterly dreadful. The characters are completely superficial, the storyline melodramatic and ridiculous, and the closing scenes truly embarrassing. Billy Bob Thornton was brilliant, everyone else should hang their heads in shame. Even Angelina Jolie was vapid and anonymous. How they managed to drag this out for two hours is beyond me. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/16/22 Full Review Jay M 60--75% of this movie is great. Outstanding performances, gripping concept, very well directed, and then it hits the line. A point comes where you can almost see the back doors of the studio fly open and a bunch of Hollywood suits barge in to destroy the ending, leaving a movie that you will recommend to people with the simple caveat that the ending sucks.
