The film, rather than referring to the superhero genre, is a glimpse of the efforts to impose revolutionary ideas in a prim and pious society, loaded with prejudices. Action-hungry moviegoers might be disappointed, but that doesn't stop them from finding the flavor.

🏳️‍🌈 This biographical drama about American psychologist William Moulton Marston and his polyamorous relationship with his wife Elizabeth Holloway Marston and their mistress Olive Byrne who would inspire his creation of the superheroine, Wonder Woman with their feminist leanings in the 1930s. A fascinating and provocative fact-based story about a topic as unconventional as polyamory with three solid lead performances that make the audience believe in the actual possibility of a committed polyamorous relationship. It also represents the BDSM community with more respect than previous films actually focused on those practices have tried to achieve. The typical biopic formula is perfectly balanced with the romance between these 3 characters, and it is also quite critical of conservative prudery. Overall, it depicts an interesting perspective of life that makes for a brilliant story about freedom, love and superheroines.
