Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/24/23 Full Review Martin B It's a cliche movie. Old guy takes a trip with and estranged son or daughter. Bad feelings melt away as the miles click by for whatever reason. Heart warming reconcilation in the end with the offspring coming to some life changing realization. And really the ending just getting the film in on time, the death and the content of the photo's the son sees. Come on man, it's insulting it's so conveniently sappy. Maybe the acting puts it over average but I don't get how a formula plot can be above average. Besides the fantastic storyline, acting, and soundtrack, this hit home for me personally. (I would have watched this earlier had it popped up for me) My father was a professional photographer and newspaper editor. We had a darkroom in the basement of our house and I learned to develop black and white film, along with my brothers. Digital is fine I guess, but unprocessed is lost in the crowd, as Ben says.
