Jaws the Revenge

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Illogical, tension-free, and filled with cut-rate special effects, Jaws: The Revenge is a sorry chapter in a once-proud franchise.

Jason Bailey Flavorwire 'Jaws: The Revenge' bears the marks of its rushed production, from the seemingly first-draft screenplay to its sloppy execution to the slender running time (under 90 minutes without credits) to the generally cheap look and feel. Aug 6, 2017 Full Review Dave Kehr Chicago Tribune Jaws is looking a bit long in the tooth these days. Rated: 1/4 Apr 30, 2014 Full Review Sheila Benson Los Angeles Times Dumb beyond belief, hollow, bloody and nonsensical, it's Universal Studios' vanity movie, a way of providing employment yet again for its Great White icon. Apr 30, 2014 Full Review Eliza Janssen Flicks (AU, NZ, UK) This is a Christmas film; a film about grief, about the importance of tracking snail migration; a clipshow of one of the greatest films of all time. May 29, 2024 Full Review Jeffrey Lyons Video Review In the considerable wake of the superb original Jaws adventure, one dreadful concoction after another has come our way. Jaws The Revenge (actually Jaws IV) is about as inane as they get. Rated: 1/4 Aug 5, 2022 Full Review Daniel Barnes Dare Daniel Located a million light-leagues away from the elegant terror of Spielbergs 1975 classic, this fourth entry turns the shark into a standard-issue 1980s slasher villain. It was our 1st date......The movie is sooooo Bad it was our ONLY date. Nothing can survive it. JAWS is my favorite movie of ALL time. This movie is the WORST movie of ALL time. WHO in HOLLYWOOD approved this atrocity. The movie actually used clips from JAWS to show it dying they could not even create a scene for an ENDING...I was rooting for the shark Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Jay J This was the first Jaws film that I saw, all the way back in 1993 when I was the impressionable age of six-years-old so I do still have some deranged love for Jaws: The Revenge. Yes, the plot is ridiculous and the shark and it's roaring is beyond laughable but I still find myself able to watch this film on the odd occasion. It's better than Jaws 3D by a long shot and it amuses me to wind up the wife by declaring, Jaws: The Revenge, is the greatest Christmas movie of all time! And, of course, the oldest argument between friends... Does Jake survive being munched by the shark? So many positive memories. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/05/24 Full Review Audience Member super bad i hated it bad effects omg shark looked like a burned plastic shark Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/23/24 Full Review Read all reviews
