Paranormal researcher Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) and physicist Erin Gilbert are trying to prove that ghosts exist in modern society. When strange apparitions appear in Manhattan, Gilbert and Yates turn to engineer Jillian Holtzmann for help. Also joining the team is Patty Tolan, a lifelong New Yorker who knows the city inside and out. Armed with proton packs and plenty of attitude, the four women prepare for an epic battle as more than 1,000 mischievous ghouls descend on Times Square.

Ghostbusters offered a fresh and fun spin on the classic testosterone-fueled comedy and featured Chris Hemsworth as a dim-witted himbo, delightful cameos by cast members from the original movie, and a wonderful breakout performance by Kate McKinnon.

Love Ghostbusters 2016 the women In this film were absolutely Amazing!!!!!!! Hands down the best film i had seen that year!!!!! And waiting for #2!!!!! They gotta have another one!!! These women made this film marvelous!!!! Hilarious!!!! And the best cast I have seen in years!!!!!! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE INVOLVED in this film!!!!!!! It Deserves a standing ovation!!!!! THANK YOU for Your time!!! Dedication, And brilliance!!!!!! I Love You ALL!!!! And to put this out there also, I Loved all the original Ghostbusters movies too!!!! They ALL have a very special place in my heart!!!!!! Can't wait for Ghostbusters 2 with the women!!!!!!... WE NEED this!!!!!!

I'm not sure what this movie is trying to be. It seems like a poorly written attempt at slapstick comedy tossed on top of a mediocre story. Feels like it was written by late night comedy writers who have never been involved in a movie before. Can't be saved by a cast that acts like they are in a series of Saturday Night Live skits rather than a cohesive movie. Charles Dance does a great job, but it almost pulls you out of the movie because his great job... doesn't fit with the rest of the film. What a weird one.

i enjoyed it but man production on this movie is rough- i don’t know if this is weird but it felt on the cusp of a disney channel movie. actors were the only saving grace, however mellisa mccarthy can be a little much at times.
