Renee Schonfeld Common Sense Media Heartfelt family drama with ghosts and scary fire scene. Rated: 4/5 Mar 15, 2013 Full Review Mark R. Leeper Mark Leeper's Reviews a reminder of how enchanting a fantasy can still be if not taking over by digital imagery, if it has a few interesting characters and a few nice touches of plotting Rated: 7/10 Mar 29, 2012 Full Review Jules Brenner Cinema Signals Has there been a movie with such an artificial and unengaging style since... well, the fifties? Rated: 1.5/5 Mar 27, 2012 Full Review Mike McGranaghan Aisle Seat Movies are supposed to whisk you away, to make you get lost in their stories. I never got lost in From Time to Time because I was continually aware of the pieces being assembled before me. Rated: 2.5/4 Mar 24, 2012 Full Review Simon Weaving Screenwize This family film - that mixes Regency ghosts and a rambling, secret-filled mansion - lacks oomph and charm despite its top shelf cast, including Maggie Smith and Timothy Spall. Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 7, 2011 Full Review Andrew L. Urban Urban Cinefile The biggest problem standing in the way of the film's success is that it is neither a full-on family film nor a grown up drama - and the ending is both sombre and flat. Dominique R Best movie Ive seen in a year. I absolutely adore Maggie Smith. It does take 14 min of getting it bearings but at 15min my Whiny husband was hooked. He did not want it to end. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/08/24 Full Review Richard P Entertaining and enjoyable, family friendly ghost/time-travel story with a good cast. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/26/24 Full Review Rory M The boy was a bit rude in the beginning, but improved later on. Maggie Smith and Timothy Spall are wonderful throughout. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/02/24 Full Review Katherine T A lovely movie with an incredible cast! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/15/23 Full Review Audience Member I almost didn't watch this movie because of the poor reviews on this site. I would've missed out on one of my all-time favorite movies! I especially loved the interactions with Maggie Smith and Alex Etel. Time travel and ghosts are two of my favorite subjects and to have them both so lovingly intertwined by the writing of Julian Fellowes is like a cherry on top of my favorite icing. Go ahead and indulge yourself! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member A truly great movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
