Visibly Better Living Certification
Visibly Better Living certification is designed to provide social housing providers and care home staff with the skills and knowledge to meet the individual needs of the increasing number of residents living with sight loss. Visibly Better Living also supports social housing providers to adapt existing and new supported older living buildings to create environments that are inclusive for people with sight loss.
Visibly Better Spaces Certification
Visibly Better Spaces certification is designed to provide participating organisation’s staff with the skills and knowledge to design inclusive environments for people with sight loss either through refurbishment or in a brand-new building project. These environments include non-domestic buildings such as healthcare settings, offices and other public areas.
Accessible Building Design
Our publication ‘Building sight’ has been updated and it includes many of the Visibly Better inclusive design principles within it. The user-friendly format makes it an excellent working document for organisations all over the UK to design and create inclusive buildings.
Our workshops
If you are interested in learning about creating inclusive environments for people with sight loss then please come along to one of our CPD approved workshops or sign up for our training and professional development opportunities.

Disclaimer
Visibly Better Living and Visibly Better Spaces is an advisory service and obtaining the Visibly Better Certification means that buildings, environments, social landlords and the individual resident building have been assessed against principles that support people with sight loss in daily living, and that its staff and organisational practices are inclusive of the needs of people with sight loss only. Our assessment is according to the Visibly Better criteria and is correct as at the date of our inspection. We cannot and do not take responsibility for the whole building use or any other aspect of residential Scheme or other Visibly Better assessed environments.
