On August 19, Rhode Island Energy is launching a streamlined website, changes to our payment processes, a centralized customer support number and more.

Whether you’re a residential or commercial customer, contractor or builder, we’ve made it easy to get all the information you need about the upcoming changes and how they may affect you.

New Numbers

We’re introducing a centralized customer support number (1-855-743-1101) for both electric and natural gas services as well as a new texting number to report outages, get your balance and receive alerts.

 

New texting number: 743674 (RIEMSG)

Start/Stop Service Online

If you’re moving or plan to move soon, we have good news—you’ll now be able to start or stop your service via your online profile on our website.

While we have a centralized customer support number going forward (1-855-743-1101), many of our other contact numbers will remain the same.

Anything related to the new website changes, new bill design, payment processes, account profiles updates and other new management systems will not be charged to our customers.
