U.S. Senator Jack Reed joined officials from the Pascoag Utility District (PUD), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and fellow members of the Congressional delegation to announce a new, $1,199,000 loan and $900,073 grant from the USDA’s Water and Environmental Programs (WEP).  The federal funding will help finance the cleaning and lining of 17,000 feet of water mains, a corrective action that will address aging cast iron pipes and help provide the District with a safe, reliable water supply for its customers.
