Above and beyond: Here are New Paltz's scholar athletes for 2023-24

The Mid-Hudson Athletic League recently honored its top senior student-athletes for each high school. New Paltz High School selected Kalista Birkenstock and Alex McAteer.

Varsity Sports: Soccer; Lacrosse
Academic Honors/Extracurricular Activities: National Honor Society
Athletic Honors: Two-time Team Captain; Section IX Class A All-Star; Section IX Elite 11 Finalist
Community Service: Organized a cereal drive; collected and donated cereal boxes at Lenape Elementary
Future Plans: Union College, to major in Neuroscience and play soccer
