Above and beyond: Here are Fallsburg's scholar athletes for 2023-24

The Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association recently honored its top senior student-athletes for each high school. Fallsburg High School selected Angelina Levner and Isaiah Young.

Angelina Levner

Class Rank:  2

Varsity Sports: Cross Country; Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field

Academic Honors/Extracurricular Activities: Valedictorian; National Honor Society; Band; Student Government; LEO's Club Secretary; OCIAA Scholar-Athlete for Cross Country, Indoor Track and Field and Outdoor Track & Field

Athletic Honors: Team Captain for Cross Country, Indoor Track and Field, and Outdoor Track and Field; three Varsity Letters in each sport 

Community Service: LEO Club; Food Pantry volunteer; Food Drive Volunteer; Allyson Whitney Foundation volunteer; Humane Society volunteer 

Future Plans: University of Florida, to major in Animal Science

Isaiah Young

GPA: 92.97

Class Rank: 15

Varsity Sports: Football; Basketball; Outdoor Track and Field

Academic Honors/Extracurricular Activities: National Honor Society; U.S. National Tae Kwon Do member; OCIAA Scholar-Athlete in Football and Basketball  

Athletic Honors: Team Captain for Football and Basketball; Section IX All Eight-Man Football Team; Class B Sullivan County Basketball All-Star Team; Tae Kwon Do national champion; Tae Kwon Do Nationally Ranked No. 2

Community Service: Tae Kwon Do instructor

Future Plans: University of North Carolina Charlotte, U.S. Performance Center for Tae Kwon Do, will major in Criminal Justice
