Above and beyond: Here are Burke Catholic's scholar athletes for 2023-24

The Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association recently honored its top senior student-athletes for each high school. John S. Burke Catholic selected Jenna Seewald and Ryan Sundheimer.

Jenna Seewald

GPA: 98.83

Varsity Sports: Soccer; Indoor/Outdoor Track & Field; Flag Football

Academic Honors/Extracurricular Activities: Salutatorian; National Honor Society; Student Government; Spanish Club; FFA Secretary thru BOCES

Athletic Honors: School Record Holder for Weight Throw

Community Service: Volunteer with Dumped/Stray Animal Rescue in Middletown, N.Y.

Future Plans: SUNY Geneseo, to major in Biology then go to Veterinarian School

Ryan Sundheimer

GPA: 98.79

Varsity Sports: Soccer; Cross Country; Basketball; Outdoor Track & Field

Academic Honors/Extracurricular Activities: National Honor Society Vice President; Student Government; National English Honor Society   

Athletic Honors: Varsity Basketball two-time Section and Division Champion; Varsity Track and Field Captain; Varsity Soccer Division Champion; Varsity Cross Country Captain

Community Service: Youth Basketball Camp Counselor; Volunteer Youth Flag Football Coach; Summer Bible Camp Counselor 

Future Plans: Syracuse University, to major in Civil Engineering
