USA Lacrosse honors eight Mid-Hudson girls lacrosse players with postseason awards

The selections have been made for All-American status for Section 9 girls lacrosse standouts.
Seniors Sophia Licardi of Pine Bush, Lia MacDougall of Saugerties and Rebecca Sibley of Valley Central join Goshen junior Meghan Doody as the four picks for All-American. These players exhibit superior skills and techniques and posses exceptional game sense and knowledge.
Four seniors were chosen as All-Academic selections: seniors Licardi, Alexandra Coffey of Kingston, Keira Chatfield of Cornwall and Caitlin Becker of Highland. These players exhibit exemplary lacrosse skills, good sportsmanship and high standards of academic achievement.
The Jackie Pitts award goes to Highland senior Caitlin Becker. The award goes to a 12 th grader with solid academics, lacrosse skills, excellent teammate interactions and willingness to serve their schools and communities.
