NEW PALTZ - The Ulster County Pool at 241 Libertyville Road in New Paltz will be closed for the season due to continuing water loss issues, the county's Department of Public Works announced Friday.
In a news release, the DPW said the pool experienced a significant loss of water last week.
The DPW consulted with engineers and attempted multiple solutions to stop the water loss, including replacing valves, and working on the gutter system and gravity lines, but unfortunately the water loss continued.
The DPW apologized for the inconvenience.
