Ulster County man accused of sexually abusing a 6-year-old girl: Saugerties police

SAUGERTIES - An Ulster County man was accused of sexually abusing a young girl on Tuesday.
Saugerties police said that at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, they arrested Ian C. Welling, 42, of West Camp following an investigation into an allegation that he made sexual contact with a 6-year-old girl.
Welling was charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a felony, and forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors.

He was arraigned and sent to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail, $100,000 secured bond or $300,000 partially secured bond, pending further court action.
The name of his attorney was not immediately available.
