Joan D Majetich

Joan D. Majetich, 90, formerly of Middletown, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024, in Palm Harbor, Florida. Daughter of the late Arthur and Paula Wieter, she was born on December 24,1933, in Queens, NY. On October 24, 1953, she married Gerard M. Majetich in Brooklyn, he predeceased her on March 1, 1995. She is survived by her three children: Linda Majetich Hansen of Gardiner, NY, Stephen D. Majetich of Williamstown, MA, and Kathryn A. Majetich of Fishkill, NY. Her Sister, Margie Caputo of Las Vegas, and was predeceased by her brother-in-law Joseph Caputo. She is also survived by 4 Grandchildren: Julia Lynn Hansen, Eleanor Kaatz, Alexandra Majetich and David Majetich. Three Great-Grandchildren; Matthew Gibson, Eloise and Orsen Kaatz.

Joan loved living in Florida. She traveled the world and was an especially fond of sewing and embroidery. Joan lived a full life. Thank you, friends in Middletown for all the good times. Joan retired from Sears, Roebuck and Co after 33 years of service.

Life celebration will be private. Cremation has already taken place. Donations can be made to The Humane Society.
