Actor and Singer Billy Porter Finds a Buyer for His Shoreside Home on New York’s Long Island

Billy Porter is ready to say farewell to his Bellport, NY, home.

After listing the four-bedroom, 4.5-bath property in late February for $2.5 million—and then cutting the asking price a couple of times—the singer, actor, and star of “Pose” has a pending sale at $2.2 million.

While not quite a Hamptons escape in terms of location or cachet, the modern 4,500-square-foot dwelling is on a beautifully landscaped acre not far from the beach on Long Island’s southern shore.

The eye is immediately drawn to the grand, two-story rear wing that features skylights and a vaulted ceiling below in the screened porch. The main living room is lofty, thanks to the cathedral ceiling, and includes a stone fireplace plus room for a piano.

In the eat-in kitchen, there’s custom cabinetry in a lovely blond-wood shade as well as an island. Other highlights include a media room and formal dining space with views of the backyard. In the main bedroom, there are dual baths, a seating area, and an office nook with a built-in desk.

A fully equipped home gym fills the lower level, along with wine storage for vino lovers. Outside, a heated pool awaits—and there’s even a treehouse for the inner child in everyone. A three-car garage completes the package.

Back in 1992, Porter debuted on the entertainment scene as the first-place winner on “Star Search.” He went on to join several Broadway casts, including “Grease,” “Dreamgirls,” and “Kinky Boots,” for which he won the Best Actor Tony Award in 2013.

Porter’s memoir, “Unprotected,” was published in 2021, and he’s currently working on a new album.
