Glendora High School

There are several students that live in my area.They all seem to like their school.Parents are very impressed how the school after COVID rebounded. Great.

I went to high school here a couple years ago i graduated already. Did not really have a good experience here. Before graduation came everyone gets there grades, well I was a rsp student an for some reason my counselor thought it would be a great idea to give me a normal English class even though I knew I wasn’t ready so basically I tried getting out of it an she didn’t want help me change my classes my English teacher wasn’t a great help either when I asked help to get my grade up she didn’t want to help me cause she didn’t like me and she played favorites in the class. I did the senior project an last min before graduating she told me I needed one more credit to graduate well I ask her how can you help me get my grade up she looked me in the eye while I was crying an said your not walking at graduation but you can still get your diploma. 4 years I went to Glendora working my butt off just to get this response from this teacher an on top of that I was a 4 year athlete. So I hope this rating helps for parents who have rsp students don’t expect these teachers to help your children cause they won’t.

"I feel like students here aren't learning, just working. My main concern is the teachers due to the fact that they don't care about you and what you're going through. The way that they teach is definitely not good enough for a school in a good neighborhood with good people. Some of these teachers give way to much work because they want them to be ""prepared"" for the next grade. I feel as if they give out more work then they teach. Teachers make students stare at the work they give us and computers all day and wonder why we aren't energized enough to do their work. I feel like students here aren't learning, just working. The school offers no indoor lunch areas for when it gets super hot or it's raining, leaving students soaked and cold or burning hot. Some teachers like to change Air conditioner or heater tempuatures to only what they like, and rarely listen to the students opinion. Counselors put you in classes that either you don't need, or classes you needed to take the year before. Would I recommend going to this school? If they made a few changes, yes."

I am a current student here and I wouldn't say I like it. The boys here are so sexist and gross. I am a current sophomore and do not feel happy at this school.
