On July 5, 2024, Buffalo Narrows RCMP received a report of a missing boater.
Officers immediately responded. Investigation determined an adult male's boat was located idling in Peter Pond Lake.
Officers along with local residents and conservation officers with the Provincial Protective Services Branch began searching the water and shoreline for the male.
On July 6, 2024, the body of the adult male was located in the water. He has been identified as a 61-year-old from Buffalo Narrows. His family has been notified.
