Are you ready for summer? Play It Again Sports in Boulder offers everything you need for summer’s outdoor activities, sports, family adventures and travel.
D’Layna Denman and Troy Hodges, managers and owners, have a sense of humor that makes it fun to shop at Play It Again Sports. D’Layna said the store can make a difference “after parents’ arms start falling off from shelling out money on all the things kids need.” She said the business has gently used baseball gloves, T-ball setups, pitchbacks and clothing that “you don’t normally have around the house until your son or daughter decides to get involved in sports. Maybe last year she was all girly-girly or all he wanted to do was play video games, then they had to dress up for a particular sport. We can make that easier. When your child comes in and wants a $300 baseball bat, come to Play it Again sports. We’ll help when new equipment can be expensive – that is just about enough to make a parent swallow their tongue!”

Troy added that anything in the way of safety should be purchased new. “You want to buy safety helmets brand new and have them fitted to your child. No matter how good an eye you have, you don’t want to risk the fit just not being right.”
Some sports organizations purchase all their shirts at Play It Again Sports and have their emblems put on. “We have new items as well as lightly used items that are less than two years old. We’ve got everything from jocks to socks, and young men and women who can give parents advice on what to buy.”
Play It Again Sports is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.. It is located at 653 S. Broadway in the Table Mesa Shopping Center, 303.499.2011, playitagainsportsboulder.com.
