The Maintenance Manager is responsible for all activities related to the general maintenance and upkeep of PUSH Buffalo’s physical assets and equipment. They ensure the proper functioning of these assets while coordinating with other departments to optimize the organization’s overall use of resources. This includes all aspects of building operations and logistics for PUSH’s business offices, community rooms, shared public spaces and properties. Primary duties include the assurance of cleanliness, safety, and security of PUSH on-site activities. This includes ensuring all equipment and assets are functioning properly and that safety standards are met.

The Community Energy Advisor connects community members, current and prospective customers to appropriate energy efficiency and clean energy programs and resources. They help community members navigate steps to participate in the programs, program financing, program benefits, and contractor participation and responsibilities. They also provide support throughout the process of seeking and accessing appropriate programs and services.

The Community Energy Advocate also focuses on driving multifamily property owner and/or management engagement through cold calling, door knocking, presenting at community meetings, meeting with owners, property managers and tenants and other grassroots outreach methods. They report to the Community Energy Program Manager.

The Director of Community Energy is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of PUSH’s Community Energy programs and campaigns, including but not limited to: PUSH Green; the WNY Regional Clean Energy Hub; healthy homes programs, e.g., Warm and Dry on the West Side (WDWS) and the Buffalo East Home Improvement Program (BEHIP); and building decarbonization and renewable energy project development, e.g., the Out of Gas Pilot.

The Director of Community Energy works to steward a community-led vision for sustainable development, with a focus on building decarbonization and renewable energy development, in Buffalo and WNY through technical research, relationship building, community engagement, and community-based project and program management. They will work closely with PUSH’s Planning and Community Development team to build on existing projects and programs at PUSH Buffalo and affiliate organizations, working across disciplines to create and manage sustainable, local and equitable models for the development, management, and community ownership of sustainable energy assets.

The Communications Specialist is responsible for leading and coordinating PUSH’s internal and external communications via digital, social and other means. They will work with a team to advance the strategic communications work associated with the organization’s issue-based campaign and coalition activities. They will act as a liaison between PUSH Buffalo and the community, present for events, campaigns, meetings and gatherings to collect photos, impressions and prepare notes for announcements and recaps.

The Communications Specialist will meet and consult regularly with PUSH teams and members to pitch and advise on both long-term and rapid response communications that build narrative power for the organization and its members.

The Community Development Project Manager (CDPM) is a key member of Buffalo Neighborhood Services Corporation (BNSC)’s affordable housing and community development team. In this role, the CDPM will be responsible to manage the current development project within BNSC, and collectively work with the team on the creation of new housing developments and management of community development programs. BNSC’s work includes a variety of residential and commercial projects from small residential rehabilitations to first time homeownership opportunities through the lens of sustainability and passive housing construction concepts. BNSC’s work also includes sustainable mixed-use workforce training center, to infill and new build developments. This position requires residency in Western New York, preferably within Buffalo, New York.

The Sustainability Campaign Coordinator assists in the development and implementation of Sustainability Campaigns and Subscription Management for PUSH Buffalo’s community solar projects. Work includes program design and direct program implementation through running campaigns, performing intakes, tenant & community outreach and education, customer service, database management, and partner coordination.

The duties and responsibilities of the Sustainability Campaign Coordinator largely include work in Decarbonization, Community Solar, Environmental Justice, and Community Outreach. This position requires regular travel and attendance at outreach opportunities and events, which may occur on some weekends and evenings. The position is hybrid-eligible and requires residence in the WNY area.
