I am honored to work alongside children and families to help them thrive. As a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) I believe it is through safe, nurturing relationships that children are free to express themselves through their natural language of play. With compassion and understanding, I use both a child-centered and directive approach, while encouraging outside support systems essential to this work.

I believe we humans all have inherent goodness, beauty, and resiliency to us. Unfortunately life leaves none of us unscathed whether it be from harmful systems, family of origin dynamics, life circumstances, toxic relationships, traumatic events, or even our own self sabotaging behaviors. Regardless of how it happens, we can find ourselves feeling stuck or in pieces. While there are many wonderful healing practices out there, I believe that therapy is a great way to start understanding how we got to where we are and to begin to grow in new directions, with the hope of living a more vibrant, grounded, and creative life.

As a mental health professional, I want to assure you that it is completely normal to feel overwhelmed and lost at times. It is important to recognize when you are struggling and to seek help. It is not a sign of weakness to ask for support, but rather a sign of strength and self-awareness. There are many resources available to help you, including therapy, support groups, and self-care activities. It is never too late to start taking care of yourself and to work towards a happier and healthier life. It may be difficult to make the first step, but trust that it will be worth it in the long run. You deserve to feel better and to live

My goal as a therapist is to assist clients in living healthy, fulfilling lives. I do this through helping clients identify goals they want to work toward, personal strengths on which they can build, skills they want to develop, and barriers they want to overcome. My work is client-centered and strengths-based, recognizing that change often takes time, hard work, and patience. Thus, I move with clients at their pace, knowing that recovery looks different for everyone and that there isn’t one approach to fit all clients. As a therapist, I strive to create a safe space for clients so they can develop trust and evaluate their life.

I am a queer relationship, individual, and sex therapist. I offer a collaborative, hands-on approach to therapy. I primarily focus on serving the LGBTQIA2+ community, women, non-binary, and genderfluid folks, those looking for increased connection in their relationships, those who want to explore their sexuality and enrich their sexual selves. I also enjoy working with folks through life transitions, creating healthy attachments, and setting boundaries. I recognize that it takes a lot of courage to start therapy. I aim to provide a space for you to feel genuinely heard, understood, and seen no matter what you are dealing with.

I’m here to offer a strength-based approach that will get you started on a path towards clarity and lightness. Together we can identify what is already helping you get through today, so that tomorrow feels a little easier.

It feels like you’ve lost everything. Morning no longer holds the promise of a new day, only the weight of unspeakable sadness. This is just the way life is now. The mail is piling up. Work deadlines are coming and going. Food has no taste, and everything that once seemed so important feels meaningless. Everyone else has moved on, but you're still stuck in that moment when your whole world ended. You can’t move on because you can’t imagine living without that love. And moving on would mean giving up that last remaining connection to the life you had. But, at the same time, you know you can't go on this way either. You feel trapped.

We are a clinic located in Renton with in person and virtual appointments with openings for children, teens, couples and adults who live in or near Renton and would like to use their insurance. People come to RCC to improve their mental health, increase life satisfaction, and gain self-awareness. The human experience is a complicated one and most of us, at one time or another have found ourselves overwhelmed. When we respond to life's struggles in ways less than successful, we may experience depression, anxiety, or other symptoms.

Therapy is a journey towards self-discovery, empowerment, and balance. However, life can be stressful with unexpected changes, relationship struggles, grief and loss, life transitions, sexual identity issues, social struggles, and current or previous trauma disrupting your day-to-day functioning. This often creates an out-of-control feeling with your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors. My approach to therapy is based on a collaborative relationship that offers safety, support, acceptance, and promotes trust so that you are able to make the right changes in your life that make sense for you.

Feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges? Struggling in your relationships, dealing with ongoing stress, depression, or anxiety? You're not alone. Life can be incredibly challenging. Taking the step to seek support is tough, and I understand how crucial it is to find the right therapist for you. Our greatest struggles and deepest joys happen in relationships. The quality of our relationships, including those with family, friends, partners, and colleagues, impacts our mental and emotional well-being. Recognizing the complexities inherent in human connections (family, community, society) is central to my therapy practice.

My name is Becky Daughtry and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Washington. I have been providing psychotherapy to adults, youth, families and children in a variety of outpatient and inpatient settings over the past 30 years. Everyone has their own story waiting to be told. Therapy is a space to bravely share your story, to vulnerably explore your strengths and growth areas, to boldly challenge each other towards fully-embodied growth, meaning, and connection. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, work stress, grief and loss, personal or professional identity, relationship problems, life stage transitions, general stuckness/burnout, I am here to support you. We will collaborate together to decide what it is you would want more or less of in your life. We will set a plan to get you closer to your goals with each session, while having some laughs & fun along the way, too.
