Jarodd is a licensed professional counselor in Louisiana and Texas. Jarodd originally is from New Orleans, Louisiana but was displaced by hurricane Katrina in 2005 and now resides in Texas. Jarodd received his Master’s Degree in 2014 from The University of Louisiana Monroe in Marriage and Family Therapy / Counseling. I was a varsity three sport high school athlete: volleyball, basketball, and softball and an academic and athletic All-American softball player in college and beyond. I received my doctorate in 2002 (age 28) and have been in the mental health field for over 20 years. I am the only licensed clinical sport psychologist in San Antonio who is certified by the Association of Applied Sport Psychology. My clinical and sport psychology extensive training gives me the credibility to work with total athlete needs, not just sport performance.

My clients come from diverse backgrounds, cultures, lifestyles, values, and beliefs. When they walk into counseling, they have found themselves in a place where they feel stuck in life, whether it be from depression, anxiety, addiction, past trauma, or a breakdown in relationships. As a counselor, it is my privilege to walk with them through these “stuck moments” and begin discovering those places of healing, growth, reconciliation, confidence, trust, and a life worth living.
