Humans will be human. This can come with worry, pain, joy, and an infinite spectrum of emotions in between. Maybe life has presented challenges to you, your family, or your relationship that feel overwhelming to navigate alone. Maybe there is a generational pattern that you wish to shift. You are not alone! I work with kids (8 and up), teens, adult individuals, and couples around connecting to their identity including racial trauma and stress, self-esteem, life transitions, addressing complex patterns and dynamics, and with those processing childhood trauma. I am accepting limited clients as of 7/10/24.

I do not want you to feel shame or judgement in the therapeutic relationship.
I enjoy learning about clients and their lives through an empathetic, person-centered approach and hearing what they're saying in a world where there is so much chaos. I've met people from all over the world and have learned about many cultures and religions which allows me to understand various perspectives. I believe in working with people to help them see their potential and assist them in releasing emotions that are difficult to process. If you’re here trying to figure out this adulting thing, let me help you navigate these rough waters and find the calm in the midst of a raging sea.

I have therapy games for children/teens and with couples use an imago framework to better understand and build a more healthy relationship.
I have worked with a very diverse population and like to start with what my clients identify as their needs. Though I'm active and make observations and give guidance, I will quickly make it known to you that I want your feedback even if it is different from mine. This includes my work with adolescents and children as i know they are often reluctant with therapy yet want to be heard and this is how i join with them. Please think of your goals before coming in because this way you can determine if you are satisfied with my services. I am happy at this time to also offer Telepsych therapy sessions as an option

Asking for help is difficult, but it is also one of the most courageous acts a person can take. I understand that difficulty and strive to greet you with the warmth, empathy, and acceptance that you deserve. Working with and supporting people is at the heart of who I am and what I do, and I believe that an authentic relationship is essential for successful outcomes.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
