I assist in empowering people with areas such as work, school, and change in living dynamics, disabilities, self-care, relationship breakups and divorce. Mark is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Limited Licensed Psychologist and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor with many years of experience helping people with depression, anxiety, substance use and relationship problems. He is skilled at helping people with exploring identity and sexuality. He likes to help people learn to achieve their goals through effective interpersonal skills and boundary work. Mark has experience working in the LGBTQ+ community and in the local Native American Community. He has training in many evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, Seeking Safety and Motivational Interviewing.

With a Master's Degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University and a wealth of personal and professional experience, I am here to extend my hand in support. My background includes working with youth in foster care, adoption, those navigating neurodivergence, homelessness, self-esteem concerns, depression, and intergenerational trauma.

I have experience working with those in the criminal justice system. I also have experience working with domestic violence batterers and survivors. Those experiencing depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and anger management problems will feel comfortable sharing their experience.

In addition to providing psychotherapy services as a clinical psychologist for over 10+ years, I am also an assistant professor at a college university in Detroit, MI, a published researcher, and author, with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital & health care industry.
